Tax-Exempt Ministry Details
LAM started ministry in 1996. In 2001 we registered as a non-profit organization for tax exempt purposes. We are still doing business as a non-profit corporation, the only thing that changes is that we aren't able to receive tax-deductible donations at this time.
History:
Since 1996, we have served over 18 countries and 25 states, as we helped hundreds of individuals. We have countless testimonies of individuals receiving help and restoration for their lives and their families. This has been a very successful ministry and we feel very privileged that God has used us to touch so many lives.
On Feb. 10th, 2012, we received a notice from the IRS stating that we are no longer tax-exempt, because we did not comply to reporting criteria. We have just reason why that didn't happen, but we have to go through the process to re-establish it anyway. We could look at this as a negative, but this has given us the opportunity to re-think our goals and objectives.
What Does This Mean to You?
This means we are no longer taking tax-deductible donations at this time.
So as of Feb.20th, 2012, any donations made after that date are no longer tax deductible. All donations made prior, are STILL tax deductible.
Having said all this, it by no means changes the way we minister. We are still conducting business as usual, selling books, materials and providing ministry, television programming, and hosting conferences and seminars. WE Need you!
Because we need to re-file to obtain status, it will incur a small amount of fees.
- Tax prepare fees - $200-400
- Reinstatement fee - $850
- Misc. fees for Sect. of State and other hidden fees - $200.00
